I think you need to look for somewhere to store the saloon for a bit, and soon it until you are back on your feet, this has been said before, and easier said than done ,I appreciate that.
AT least mention to your mother that you are going to try and do this, then she will realise that you aren't just ignoring her.

Hi guys

I have made a final decision and I will be keeping the saloon for the time being. I will find a way to raise the funds to get the car MOtd and get the slave and clutch done, also. Other then this, the car is running very well. It actually drives fantastic right now. In its current state, it is worth next to nothing so I don't think I would benefit getting rid of it. Many thanks for all the advise.

There are many people with houses and drives, with nothing on the drive! I'm sure if you offered some of them a monthly amount, you'd be surprised. Where there's a will there's a way :-)

Yes, now just got to find a way to explain to mother. Or hide the car!

I did celebrate my decision this evening with a spirited drive through a rain/snow storm. Unleashing the power from my 460bhp diesel leaving a trail of destruction.......of soot!

Good on you. I can almost see the smile!

I did see a big black cloud from Montrose. Maybe it was you on your spirited drive?

Yes, quite possibly me! Did you see me race pass a 400 supercharged V8? It was a doddle.
