Engine and box out of a GT40 and shoving it into the rear of a ZTT. Would need to build a new subframe but if money was no object................

Why not fit a nice Jag supercharged V12 then you could use the back of the engine that sits in the cabin as a bespoke coffee table
table Logistics of the alterations required are mind boggling, custom bodywork alone could cost more than you could buy one for Better to spend your money on improving your existing engine you could get some very impressive performance way beyond the output of the 260 V8 for much less than it would cost to do conversion Doc

There you go just throw some serious coin at the engine you have now and get something wicked
Look at what GeraintUK and pistonbroke666 are doing with their engines some very impressive performance out of 1.8's Doc

So I suppose the next question is, what does the OP want from the project?
The sheer audacity of doing a V8 conversion or are they simply after more power? If it's the latter then a simple turbo conversion is a good call.

V8 diesel?
It's a lot of fabrication work. If you have the skills then this will be a lot of time. If you don't then it is a serious investment of both time and money. |
