Arrow National Club Meet for the 25th Anniversary of the Rover 75 Gaydon 14th April 2024

Announcing the Owners Club National Meet to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of the Rover 75
on Sunday 14th April 2024

The Club's 1st National Meet of the year will be held on
Sunday 14th April 2024
at
The British Motor Museum
Banbury Road
Gaydon
Warwickshire
CV35 0BJ

Between 10am and 5pm

To mark the 25th anniversary of the launch of the Rover 75, the club's next national event
will be a combined weekend celebration following on from the Pride Of Longbridge Rally the day before
at Cofton Park where we will have a club parking area for members.

Gaydon Motor Museum holds a particular significance for the 75 and ZT Owners Club for two very important reasons;
firstly in terms of club organised events, it is where it all started for us back in 2006
with our inaugural meet which was attended by 100 cars, then our next visit back in 2010 topped that attracting 117 in total,
followed by our third visit ten years ago to mark the then 15th anniversary of the Launch of the 75 where we topped our record with 139 cars.

Secondly, as many of you will know, the museum at Gaydon houses the very first full production Rover 75
to roll off the line: VIN 100001 a Dealer Launch specification model no less,
so what better way to celebrate than to hold our event at it's current home.

Looking at the build record for # 10001, what makes this even more special
is the fact that it came off the production line at 10:28:29 on 12th April 1999,
so our event is 25 years almost to the day!

As part of the club's National, we are looking to re-unite as many member owned Dealer Launch Cars,
and Pre-Launch early Rover 75's as we can in one place to be arranged in a display.

The museum has agreed to bring out from long term storage one of their two Rover 75s and display it for us inside our own area of the building.

Quite apart from our club area, the museum contains hundreds of pristine examples
of automotive history including a Thunderbirds Pink Rolls Royce and of course the very last production
Rover 75 to roll off the line, hand assembled by a small team.

Once again, we will be presenting the annual Gryphon Award
to the best car at the show as voted by you the members on the day

To mark this special anniversary, the club has invited
several original Rover Group key personnel to talk about the development and production of the R40.

We will have a function room set aside in the main building where you can meet and question
the key people responsible for getting our cars into production.
Confirmed are the following:

We hope with your support, to make this the club's biggest and best National weekend ever
marking the 25th anniversary of the car's launch in style and with pride.

The cost for car club members to enter the museum on the Sunday National is £12.00 per person
which is payable on the day directly to the museum's pay desk (All of that fee goes straight to the museum, and not the club).

However, as we have to cover the entry fee costs for our special guest speakers
and the not insignificant charge to have the museums Rover 75 brought out,
we are asking for a token charge of £4.00 per car to attend the meet , payable to the club at our registration Gazebo on arrival.

That makes the combined cost for attending the National meet
including museum entry with access to the Rover special guest speakers and The museums 75
a total of £16.00 split across the two payments.
