Fuel pumps?
I have a facelift 2004 diesel with two fuel pumps, my UBP has started to make some funny noises "gurgling sounds is the best way i can describe it", it does not happen all the time and when it does, after about fifteen seconds it returns to a steady humming. My ITP is still working because i can hear it when i take the fuel cap off. If my UBP fails will the ITP keep the engine running. I have looked on the forum to see if there is any advice on how to remove the UBP if i have to replace it but i cannot find anything that explains how to do it in detail, or is it a straightforward thing to do?
Thanks in advance for any advice offered. |

Diesel pumps replacement is one of the most widely discussed subjects, so you'll find all your answers using the word search system. Inserting 'ITP' or 'UBP' will get most stuff.
Lots of people go here for pump elements: http://www.mkon.co.uk/ TC |
