Default No voltage to near side number plate bulb but have 12v on the off side?

Thought it was a blown bulb, turns out it's not. I don't have 12v to the near side but offside is working fine? Is this a common problem? Easy fix?

Also is the rear side lights 5W or 10W do you know?

Corrosion around the connector spades is also a common cause of light failure.

TC, have you a link to the tool you bought from ebay for removing the clips that hold the boot lining in place?

It was something like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/INTERIOR-...AAAOSwDCtdHx0E

There are literally dozens on eBay varying from two to ten pounds each. For my purposes, a cheapy was fine.
