Radiator fan..
Hi all,
Got a 2005 260 and have been checking the fan.. Kicks in at 99 degrees but doesn't kick in when selecting windscreen demist? Aircon compressor not starting so assume it needs a regass but thought the fan should start? Other question, as its 2005 thought it would have a resistor visible by the blades? Cant see anything ( admit I haven't yet removed the bumper) Last edited by kevineds; 22nd March 2020 at 19:33.. Reason: Spelling |

The low speed fan should run even if the aircon has no gas.
This might help: https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...ad.php?t=35567 The 2-speed fan system has the low speed resistor mounted on the fan guard. It's located in the 2 o'clock position behind the blades. You may have to turn the blades with a thin stick to get a clear view. In very rare cases, the resistor is reported to be out of sight to the rear RHS of the fan frame as you look at it. TC |

Thanks for the reply, will pop the bumper off and investigate further, a few other little jobs I've found to do as well.
