Default apex alloys

hi, can anybody tell me the exact colour off the apex alloys mg put on the late mgzt260?
got some touching up to do!!

it isn't really a colour its a finish, its shadow chrome, its made up of a black undercoat with the silver on top to create the effect, also called smoked chrome. i think you'll find it hard to touch them up, a lot of owners including myself have had them refurbished. as the oem finish gets worse over time.

Ive had a reasonable job of touching minor scuffs up with a tin of ford metallic greyfrom halfords ( cant remember which shade). I matched it up to a centre cap from the alloys that I took into the shop, and for touching up used a fine paintbrush and a bit of paint sprayed into a jam jar lid

To me the Shadow Chrome finish always looked dirty even after a good clean!! So I had a set finished in Liquid Silver (as used on Star Spokes fitted to 75 Contemporary's)
Thought they looked much "cleaner "then

There's no accounting for Taste & this is only my humble opinion of course

Newbies do now!!
1. Plenum drains..all 3 or 4 year dependent
2. Cooling fan..All speeds functioning
3. Bonnet cable divider block
