The trouble is Ron, internet dummies like me invariably assume there is a fault on their PC or provider. The resulting disruption is at the very least inconvenient. There must be some way of accurately pinpointing the real causes and stopping it!

Dont assume.it is your internet. Try accessing other sites, or my favourite is to go to google, and search for something g random. Something you are unlikely to search for to eliminate a cached page showing from your history(although I dont think this happens now).

After this if it really concerns me, I would try accessing from another source. Eg phone tablet or pc. This will eliminate a device issue (in most cases).

Another way, is looking on facebook or other social media if you have them. Sometimes you will find messages regarding outages.

Just run with another site link on a separate Tab, then you will know its not you.

I reckon it's a good first move before heading down the road of it's your computer/internet provider etc.
