Must be nice having food in the house. I haven’t had tea AGAIN tonight, swmbo had to go to a parents’ evening at the school tonight, I suggested going to the pub afterwards for a meal, but by the time they came back, she wouldn’t go saying she had to pack the son’s case for cadet camp tomorrow night. Not enough for everyone to just bung in the oven, so wife ,son and daughter have been fed but I starve. Plenty of takeaways within walking distance but I’m sick of them, been living off them for weeks now as she won’t prepare home made meal as it takes too long, but nothing to just stick in the oven.

Ready meals might be your friend Richard. I make use of them from time to time as sometimes it is not economical to cook a meal for just yourself nor might you feel up to it on some occasions. Always nice to have the odd one or two as a backup and they can be had for a £1 or less at some places like Tesco and you can always add a little to the plate with them if you want to such as a few peas or whatever you might prefer.

Good morning all, how is everyone feeling?

Morning all, still dark outside but I can hear the rain on the conservatory roof. Off to take the car in for it's service shortly.

not for me Steve, as most of them have cheese in or are horrible, plus the fact all the shops were closed anyway last night.

Dry and unseasonably mild here today, which makes work a more pleasant place to be I suppose.

Cheers Jeff, mind how you go

I was chatting to Jessica last night and this morning. We have concluded we will be spending more time in the UK than in Africa. In Kenya I seem to get ill more often. This morning the weather brightened up and tomorrow 30C is forecasted. In anticipation, I cleaned the pool, brushed the walls and used a fishing net to remove a harmless brown snake as it could not get out.

Not the best pic, taken through the window with the mobile but this is our feathered friends restaurant!

Sunflower hearts, they're nuts about them. A 20 kilo bag lasts about a month! Have to do everything possible to keep the squirrels away.

Looking good Steve
Since we had the catios built we can now safely allow birds in to the garden.
The cats love watching them but happily can’t get to them
