Here you can see the Freelander solenoid in situ.

I think you would be ok to fit a little bit of hose and block the end of it, or if you prefer to have the right solenoid again take a trip over to me I have a couple.

Hi Steve, Thank you for your help. It must have been on my tourer before I owned it So I think for now I will put of hose on and then if I can purchase on of you and I will fit it at the nano in the new year. If its been OK this long about 9 years since I have owned it so a few more months will not matter.

What would we do with out your knowledge and help. Thank you.

Les yes just stick a little length of hose on it, and something in the hose to block the hole, a screw or piece of thread of a bolt.

Hi Steve. Thank you for all of your help and advice with all of this. All done today and used a selftapping screw in the end and tap round the end to make sure, and replaced the other two tubes as well.

Default update

An update with my turbo solenoid. went to go for a drive today with the new tubjng fitted. I manage to get abot 100 yards then the engine was stuggling. Turned off and restarted and would not move, so turned it off and removed the tubbing I had blocked off and started it up again went for a drive and all was fine. So I have orded another turbo solenoid and one for a Rover 75 and not like the one fitted off a Freelander 1.

Hi Les we certainly do, I think that is why our solenoids have the square box it seems you can not block this out let off then, very interesting remember I have a couple of these if your does not turn up for any reason
