Welcome to the best club. Not unless you have a T4 system, there are people on here who can help you though.
Big Russ is probably nearest to you.

welcome to the forum. May be worth mentioning what engine you have and what you would like to do.

It's a 2000 2 litre v6 and the central locking sensor module and it only works now and again I've got 2 new ones but I've looked it up and it says I have to divorce the old one and programme the new one in and I was just wondering can I do that myself or would I have to take it to a garage

All the programming stuff needs doing with a T4. Big Russ, Trikey and MarinaBrian are three experts who spring to mind.
And welcome to the club

The central locking receiver is mounted under the centre console in the early cars, and it is possible to relocate it to the later position which is behind the instrument pack, after extending the wiring to the module.

The receiver is the problem, not the BCU and unlike the BCU doese not require coding to the car

Hi Andy. I have experienced this with my 1999 car. The module is not faulty. The problem is that it sometimes doesn't receive the signal from your key fob because of its location in the car as Brian has hinted. Holding the key high and pointing it through the glass, especially the windscreen, helps on the occasions that your module doesn't respond.
