V6 - Vis balance valve flap - broken axle
It seems my balance valve motor worked a bit too well as it has torn off the axle of the flap -as on attached photo. Does anyone have any idea how to fix it?
Or maybe anyone has this flap from a broken rattling inlet manifold kicking around?

PM me your address, I'll send one to you. I've filed it for smoother opening and closing.

Me too!
I've had the same problem exactly, the peg has sheared off.
Does anybody happen to have a spare flap available? Owen |

Thanks for the reply, however I did have a brain wave that might get me one. I'd forgotten V6 Land Rovers have the same manifold & VIS business.
My brother-in-law has a pair of Land Rovers he's always tinkering with so I'm presuming he has contacts & sources in the shadowy underworld of Land Rover owners. I've messaged him to see if he can come up with one for me. Fingers crossed.. |
