Intank fuel pump needed?
Does this car look like it needs a new in tank pump? From the description he is either telling porkies or honestly is un aware of the problem.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...ayphotohosting He has a reserve of around £3700 aparently and even though its not an auto it looks in good nick. Simon. |

He seems confused and I can't see the point in saying what he has unless the car has a problem
Ask him specifically if it has been cutting out if the tank gets below quater full. Chances are that is a yes and someone has told him his fuel gauge must be wrong but in reality one of the pumps has failed |

I bought an in tank pump for my previous Conny about 4 weeks ago - cost £210 from an ex Rover dealer, but there were 2 on e bay recently around the £150 mark.
They are not difficult to fit access is inside the car underneath the rear passenger seat. The car for sale has a new clutch which is a big plus but maybe asking the seller a few questions about the pump before committing yourself - has he had starting problems ? Post back on here what the seller tells you

I asked him a few questions yesterday and one was about the pump and starting. He has not replied as yet though.
The other questions were about the boot as it does not seem to line up and one about the rear near side door as it looks a different shade in the photo. |

The door appears to be the light but see what you mean about the boot lid, i thought it was open at first but other side looks ok - well worth asking the questions and a genuine seller will answer them !
