Default towing a trailer dash indicator

Yes, a minor question, but my memory has gone on holiday!

I installed the full rover wiring harness, including the green wire to the LSM amd Andy ran his T4 over the car afterwards enabling whatever needed enabling.

Saturday I had to use the trailer for the first time in ages. Whist driving I noticed nothing on the dash. Checked the handbook and apparently the dash light only comes on if a tariler bulb failure id detected.

Question:
Should there be anything else? like the beep we get using the sedona with the trailer, tho that is a generic after market kit.

I think there should be an audible or visual guide that the indicators are working.

Yes that was my thought, but can't find anything in the handbook to confirm.

Apparetly no other indicators/sound when all is functioning properly
Sadly, I vaguely remember reading this thread

There is a thread or part of a thread about fitting a BMW "trailer relay" and an extra wire and this too will monitor the trailer lights.
I cannot recall if this gives an audible warning.
