Alloy Wheel Colours/Finishes?
When I was at the Nano meet I was admiring everyone's wheels - especially my favourite Serpents, and I noticed some of them seemed to be different finishes. Were there different options on them from new, is it just how they've "worn," or simply that people are having them refurbed back to something not-quite standard?
I've just got a set that want refurbing, and was wondering about the finish when they get done. Dawn |

Two colours were offered, liquid silver & sparkle silver, there will be a 3 letter code on the inside of the wheel, MNH/MBH of course, you can have them powder coated any colour you fancy Just had mine redone in sparkle silver, really sparkle in the sunlight

If you change the colour, what happens with the center caps? Can they be redone too? My wheels are being shipped, so until they arrive I'm not sure which one they were done in.
Trebor's looked stunning at the Nano meet, so that's the standard I'd like to get mine! |

My Hairpins on the ZTT could do with a refurb - I have a spare set and these have been oversprayed a silver colour but certainly not Silver Sparkle as they seem dull up against the original set.
As well at that - where the paint is coming off the lovely silver sparkle can be seen underneath. I am toying with the idea of a few shades darker - in fact I rather fancy wheels that match the dash. |

I had my Serpents refurbed recently by "The Wheel Specialist" in one of their standard powder coat colours: "Sport 1". By a happy coincidence, it's a perfect match for Sparkle Silver (or possibly Liquid Silver - can't remember my original colour). So much so, that the centre caps could have been left untouched.

Bought a set of Apex's last year, had the completely refurbed in Gunmetal Grey. They'd been oversprayed from the original colour with a grey colour, which had been done cheaply it seemed. The centre caps had also been sprayed badly, but, as I had some spare centre badges, I removed the old badge from the centre & resprayed the caps myself with an off-the-shelf Gunmetal tin from Halfrauds. VERY close to the new colour on the wheels, you'd never tell. Added new badges to the caps & job done.
Look really nice on the Zircon Silver ZT |

I had a feeling that the code for liquid silver was MBS ? (Not checked a wheel tho).
