You couldn't make it up.
Decided I'd give it one more shot last week so contacted him again. No reply. Did one more Saturday just gone, no reply. So contacted my C/C company this morning and they've agreed to reclaim my money. Brilliant I think. Until. I get a message off him today saying he is "disheartened" that I have asked for a refund as he had spent a lot of time on it, but will issue me one. Flippin marvelous. So I've now got to contact C/C and tell them to hold fire. I'll calm down before I tell him but I will need to stop the section 75 sooner rather than later. Maybe I should make him wait a week or more before I let him know, see how he likes being kept waiting. Rant over. I feel so much better now. |

Why is that when one purchases an item, one is expected to pay immediately; yet if item is returned one has to wait a number of days?
In this case 7-10, he said he'd notify me. Mmmm. Anyway, card company have been brilliant and have agreed to hold fire with the S75. At least someone is working for the customer. If anyone is ever in need of such action, it works. I've never used it before but twice against the same business is a little worrying to be fair. I'm afraid I've have lost both patience and confidence in his skills by now.
I'd be having my money back, pronto. Hope it all works out OK. PS I know this may sound a bit daft but maybe a few calls to someone in, say, the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter may turn up a competent watch repairer. It sound like you need someone who is seriously skilful and can re-manufacture some parts which you might be lucky and find there. https://www.birmingham-jewellery-qua...y=watches/#s=1 Last edited by AndyN01; 4th August 2023 at 10:36.. |

The plot thickens Andy.
He's just flagged up on his F/B page that he's been called away on family business and he wont be able to answer any queries or work on anything. He's got a week or so to refund. If nothing turns up I ain't contacting him again and will it leave it with the card company. But yes, my patience has gone, just have to let it play out. This has left a rather bitter taste over my father's watch. It's likely to remain in the drawer for sometime now. Last edited by Borg Warner; 4th August 2023 at 11:15.. |

Still no refund and only one more day left.
He's flagged up on f/b his latest excuse and he'll be back up and running on Thursday. I'm back over to wolves tomorrow, so will leave it till Wednesday before firing up the c/c company. I wonder if I'll get two lots of him? |

Refund now received and case closed.
Well done to my credit card company. Wonder if he'll message me now? |
