Aerial amp / filer XUE100001
Can any advise if this needs a live feed.
The first 2 plugs from the left are to the screen. Is the third a live feed? |

I believe that the brown wire to which you refer is the HRW elements supply Mike, but I recommend that you verify that with your multimeter.

Thanks, so this box is not any to do with the aerial ?
I am getting an excellent radio am / fm on my driveway but a lot of intermittent interference whilst on the move I have checked and powered the aerial amp on the passenger pillar so I wondering whether this filter also needed a power supply |

Is your excellent reception on your drive with the engine switched off or running? Could the interference on the move be linked with varying radio transmitter signal strength? Is it particularly bad on FM regional stations? Simon

Reception is perfect on drive with or without the engine running.
This problem has started again following replacing an old Navall unit with a new Erisin. I have checked the aerial amplifier XUC100741 and it is powered and working. When driving I get a good signal but intermittent interference which I why I was wondering if the "filter" had anything to do with it The interference is only on the radio. |

Hi Mike,
Since reception is generally good whether at home or on the road, with only occasional interference, have you considered that your aftermarket radio equipment might be the cause? Or, if the interference occurs in the same part of the country, it could be local reception conditions. Does the interference coincide with using the windscreen wipers for example? I would only suspect the filter, XUE 100 001, if the interference coincided with use of the heated rear window. Simon
