Default Brakes help

Guys,

I picked up my 75 Connie CDTI last week, exactly as described by John, great drive down from Warrington to South Wales with no issues and everything working (apart from the sunblind lol). Happy Days

John told me he had started getting some vibration under braking, I was expecting it to be from the ABS, but it seems to be possibly disks? When I brake, speeds about say 20-25mph, I get vibration/wobble through the steering wheel and judder. It varies with the pressure on the peddle. The front N/S tyre has had a bit of a kicking from this, so tracking may also be a little out, but my instinct is saying disks, the only reason I hesitate is that John tells me it had new pads/disks 18mth ago (not sure on mileage, but maybe 20k max. It was done by Jules, so I trust the work.

Is there anyone in the South Wales area that can be recommended or even nominate themselves to have a look? the local garages to me are a bit rubbish and I'd rather someone who knows what they are doing have a look. I'll be hoping to get it done by the end of the month (pay day) as I only drive on weekends and it's liveable at the moment (unless it's cheap enough so I don't have to sell a kidney).

Thanks all

The 34,336th 75 to run off the production line of 112,381
This was the 4,730th 75 CDT Connoisseur to be made out of 10,898
This was the 2,647th 75 in White Gold Metallic (code: GMN) to be made out of 12,251 White Gold Metallic 75s

To do
MK2 dials with IPK, FBH repair, headlining repair (again!) and some cosmetics.

Congrats on your purchase.

I had a similar braking problem, and suspected the discs or a worn bush. It turned out to be a dodgy track rod end.

Yeah, that's why I want someone who knows what they're doing to have a look, I don't want to change it if it's not that lol.
