Default Hard Wiring In A Rear View Camera

I am looking at wiring in a rear view camera from the rear number plate light to the DD unit.
Rather than the wireless version, I plan to hard wire it.

Has anyone got any suggestions on the best (easiest ) way to run the wiring through the car?

Many thanks!

for me it was boot lid, rear pillar, roof, A pillar, dash...

Least parts to remove to hide the wiring

Hi Bob

Is there any particular reason that you want to go for the hard wired version.

I have got the WiFi version. Works brilliantly, and a lot less hassle fitting.

Cheers

Seems like a good plan.
I have the optional air bags in the A pillars, so I will have to be careful in that area.

Hi Alf, I managed to acquire a wired one at a very good price.
The other option might be to get a transmitter and receiver for it.

My preference is for hard wired ( sorry Sean )
You can go as Klarzy says under the head lining or you can go under the door treads and up if you want to avoid the A trim air bags, either way works fine Bob

I have installed the wireless version, alas the interference is hugely disappointing.

Also done it on friends Saloon in CZ.

Would be more than happy to help you out if you want.

I followed this thread: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=122701

Most difficult was getting the wires through the rubber hose.
