Default scrapping - rover 75 !

Hi,

I case anyone down south needs anything....

I popped into my local scrappers for a part to fit a friends micra and they are dismantling a w reg 75 - 1.8

Hove Motor Spares - (HMC Spares) - google it for contact details.

The front bumper has gone - I wanted the fog lights

A dark blue colour - they said the engine was knackered

Did you catch a glimpse of anything else on it? Say, interior or other bodywork that might be of interest to anyone?

they salvaged the door handles but threw out the strange egg cup backing plates behind them ,,who would want those anyway.

I actually don't want finishers but has anyone tried alternatives. Mazda 6/Honda accord/ pt cruiser cups look about the same size. I know the 75 cups are small..could any be cut to fit ? Lets face it ...no-ones ever gonna make them again.

It's a work in progress, so to speak. PT Cruiser finishers have been tried and unfortunately do not quite measure up (excuse the pun). The Club is currently working on sourcing a supplier for them. Check this thread for all the details past and present http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...hread.php?t=92

nothing special or any "extras" - a manual standard trim car - bonnet and front bumper missing
Part of me felt kinda sad to see a 75 being scrapped - then again - if they are starting to "die" cheap and available parts for those of us on a tight budget ??

All the doors - rear bumper - looked fine to me
