Clock
The Clock in my ZT-T V8 is losing time, just over 60 seconds a week, do these clock just pack up ?
Is there a way of fixing it, other than taking it out & shaking it very hard ? Or should I remove it & replace it with a small oil preasure gauge ? cheers |

Not sure if they pack up, strangely yesterday my clock stopped dead at the precise time i did the service interval reset trick. I'd never considered replacing the clock with a different gauge, your oil pressure gauge idea sounds good!

The easiest for the time being is just adjust it the 1 minute a week using the holes under clock. Not sure of any fix but clock can be replaced and are often on EBay. I take it your battery is in good condition? |

it probably just needs a bit of time off - summer and all that and feeling generally low...
perhaps it also realises that you are watching it carefully now, which always adds to the pressure? |

I thought the clock was digital, but sixty seconds loss in seven days sounds mechanical doesn't it? Maybe it needs a gearbox oil change!

Digital T-Cut?
Where's yours? Most of us have Analogue ones. |

I'm referring to the drive mechanism not the clock face. I assumed the clock would be timed from an oscillator (digital) system rather than an electric motor (mechnical). I can understand a mechanical clock slowing down, but I'd expect a 'digital' one to either run accurately or not at all.

With you now TC.
I can't find any further information on clock other than EPC lists it as Analogue Clock, very helpful. |

I thought a ticking sound might be a giveaway, but mine is completely silent to my ear. You'd need a stethoscope to be sure. If it's genuinely silent I can't see how it can be any other than electronic/digital.
