Brought a pair of Lucas Xenon 'white' light bulbs the other day from a local parts shop who also stocked the 'blue' tint version they have tried both types in their vans all the drivers prefered the 'white' ones.

ive tried numerous''xenon'' type bulbs and found that they actually reduce the amount of light emitted.(auto express found the same)
the absolute best replacement bulbs are the phillips powerplus type as fitted to the last non xenon r75s and mgzt. they are almost as good as the real xenon lamps and a lot,lot cheaper. |

How do 65watt/H9 bulbs differ from the H1 and H7 type sold on eBay and by Rimmers?
My handbook (2004 75 Connoisseur 1.8T Facelift with Xenon projector dipped beams) tells me that my main beams are H9/65watt. The odd thing is nobody sells these on eBay and Rimmer doesn't even list 'em. Anyone know more on these? Cheers, TC |

bulbs
when i needed to replace them on my last car,an mg ztt,i just got them from my local motorist discount centre.they sold them in packs of 2 and they were about £20.oo as i recall.phillips do a good range of bulbs and i dont think you can go wrong with any of them.there is a good article in this weeks auto express comparing lots of different makes.
incidentally my new 75 tourer has xenons as standard and i dont think that they are quite as good as the normal phillips bulbs i had on the mg.they are really bright but are dipped a little too low i think. |
