Hi all,
Does rover 75 and the mg zt are they the same pumps. Reason been looks like I have a sticking float in the tank. Thought it would be easier to just change over . Thanks Steve |

They will be the same if they're from a V6 or a NASP 1800 Steve
However don't discount the fact there are actually two tank senders, and the IPK takes an average of the two to arrive at the fuel gauge reading. Most problems in this area are due to damage to the float arms, or a break in the wiring connecting the two rheostats which is inside the tank itself, or less commonly a punctured float. I would suggest taking a look first, and not using a sledgehammer to crack a walnut Best of luck Brian |

Thanks Brian,
I thought they maybe.both v6 just thought mg may have been a bit more powerful. Getting very odd reading on fuel gauge. Hopefully it's a stuck sensor. Diagnostic says sensor number 1 is not reading . Obd comes back as all ok but looking like only reading one side. Thanks Steve. |

There's a HowTo fix a faulty float arm rheostat but unfortunately all the images are missing.
