Such a beautiful car and the right modifications done to it. I would quite like a tidy boot install like that. My sub currently takes up most of the boot space.

Cheers mate my original JBL sub enclosure took up too much space and stuck out too far, so it had to go. Still got decent boot space with this install

Default Long overdue update

Wow I can't believe it's been 3 years and 3 months since I last posted on this thread! Where's the time gone it doesn't feel like it was that long ago.

Here's a long overdue update to this thread, have done a lot more work on this car since my last post a few years ago.

In the summer of 2016 I finally managed to source myself some genuine side skirts for the ZT. Was really lucky to get hold of them, they were literally brand new, had been painted in ignition blue and were then never fitted. I painted them in typhoon and fitted them to the car.

I also sourced some rear bumper pods and painted them in typhoon as well.

And here's some pics from when they were fitted to the car:

In September 2016 I fitted some angel eyes for the first time. These were white + amber switchback halo rings which were white for the DRLs and also flashed amber with the indicators.

Back in January 2017 I managed to source some original blue alcantara door cards to match the seats after looking for a set for ages.

After taking over the LED modding and custom headlight upgrades from Klarzy in Jan 2017, I made a start on doing LED mods on my ZT starting with the interior dash leds converting them to blue and fitting some custom white monogram dials.

I also fitted some new front and rear badges which match the colour of the car I had custom made, and also a new shiny gear knob.

I also fitted some blue LEDs inside the air vents on the dash, they've been carefully placed so they give a nice glow and so that the LEDs themselves can't be seen directly. That way you don't get any bright blue LEDs shining straight into your eyes at night.

The LEDs give a really nice glow and aren't as bright as they show up in the video or pictures below, really happy with how it looks as I weren't sure at first, thought it may be a little bit over the top.

I've also done a second modification. I've always quite liked the feature on many new cars where the instrument cluster illuminates when the car is unlocked, and thought it would be great if I could get my ZT to do it. Well I managed to do just that today, so now when I unlock the ZT, my instrument cluster, boost gauge (in place of the clock), and blue LEDs in the air vents come on when I unlock the car. Looks really cool

I also fitted some red LED warning lights to the door cards, something these cars should have come with fitted from factory rather than those rubbish red reflector stickers.

I also fitted some blue ambient led lights to the door cards which turn on with the sidelight circuit.

Fitted some puddle lights under the door mirrors as well which turn on when the car is unlocked shining a nice bit of light on the floor by the front doors.

In the summer of 2017 I modified the headlights again, this time converting them to xenon quad projectors with all the chrome reflectors and projector housings sanded down and painted black. I fitted quad white + amber switchback halo rings again for road use and also inside that installed quad blue halo rings for show use.

The blue halo rings are also set up to turn on when I unlock the car which is pretty cool at night.

In July 2017 I used my ZT as a chauffeur car for my brother's school prom

I bought myself one of those MG7 AC panels and converted the LEDs to blue. Installed that to the ZT, think it looks much better in blue than the standard amber colour.

Unfortunately went back to my old head unit and took the naval 3 out as the unit failed only after just under a year of use. Was a radioguy unit so don't need to say much more there...

I then decided to change the custom dials from white dial faces to black dial faces. Absolutely love these even now.

I also fitted some led halo ring fog lights to go with the headlights

I also sourced a almost brand new black oak steering wheel to replaced my old faded one which had turned quite green (common problem with the black oak wheels)

And also fitted some blue footwell lights

By this point the exterior and interior of the car was looking good but the engine bay was a bit lacking, so decided to splash out jazzing up the engine bay.

Bought a strut brace which was offered in a group buy by a forum member on here also some stainless braided hose sleeves, blue hose clamp end finishers along with other bits.

Before:

After:

(since sourced smaller stainless washers for the strut tops, couldn't find any at the time)
