Looks like another sunny day out there. At least that is a small bit of positive in the otherwise negative times we are all witnessing !
Will your trade be affected by the ban on people movement Jeff?

Morning all, It's raining here & I'm full of a stinking cold, I must have picked it up going into Wigan the other day.

Morning Richard,

Not sure we have been banned from travelling for work yet
At the moment all car dealerships, Haven holiday parks and the Estate Agents I do work for are still open for business. How long that will remain is anyone’s guess.

I’m taking sensible precautions with work, keeping my distance from clients, anti bacterial hand wash in the car etc.

We will just have to play it by ear and take on board latest advise.

Technically I’m in the ‘At Risk’ group having diabetes so I am being careful and will self isolate if needed. A few weeks on the boat sounds good
The downside of course of being self employed.......No statuary sick pay !

I think this is going to seriously have implications for all of us so we are going to have to work through these difficult times as best we can.

Stay safe everyone.

I don’t think we will get away with the caravan at Easter, I had two weeks off while waiting for a replacement van so will only have the Easter weekend off, plus maybe an extra day. We can’t think of anywhere to go really and I have a couple of carpet cleaning jobs lined up for Easter hols, also a friend who now lives in Birmingham is coming up to visit her mum for the week at Easter, I haven’t seen her for a lot of years and she is married with two kids now, so going to try and have a catch up with her She used to be my mate’s girlfriend but they split not long before our wedding, I got back in touch with her when I joined f b. After she split with John she stayed friends with a few of his friends until she left home for uni.

Decision made - self isolation for the missus and I from tomorrow. Although neither of us are 70 yet, both of us have medical histories which put us in the "at risk" category. Luckily, both our son and daughter live within a mile of us, so they can keep us topped up with food (assuming there's some in the shops to buy) and any other requirements. Can you put toilet rolls through the letterbox?

We’ve been told we won’t be closing down, unless we all catch the bat flu. The RHA want to try & keep the transport industry open so obviously the maintenance side will need to stay operational. Understandably our firm don’t want to have to pay everyone for not being there, but I for one can’t afford to live on SSP so I don’t intend giving up unless I have no chouce
