It's YOU that has to be mobile and find your way very slowly and gently to that gun wielding mechanic.----

Then you do the bolt up very gently to get home again and do the job.

I would but he's away for 2 wks so unless I just dropped into another garage and asked could any of you lovely gentlefolks loosen a 75 crack pulley bolt thank you very much.


I think I know the answer..

And why not if you ask them nicely and offer to pay for their time and trouble. Any GOOD garage would give you the help you need.


PS. ( half of them are iffy but at least you'll have a 50/50 chance.)--

Can anybody say if it's ok to still drive like this as the guy I use is away for 2 weeks.

Mine went a couple of weeks ago. After the first noise I drove it home and then to the garage to get fixed. Maybe 10 miles in all.

The mechanic commented on how it was completely knackered in such a short time.
