What I didn't do to my Rover 75 MGZT today - Page 45

I didn't do it, I largely watched as BigRuss sorted a non starting problem on my KV6. I'd previously done other checks including fuel pressure and fitted a new crank sensor, but think this had not gone in far enough to register. Once this had been done and after much cranking to get oil back into the hydraulic cam followers, the engine ran perfectly again. Thanks Russ.

Took advantage of the sunny weather today.
Wet sanded my headlights and polished them with my das6 pro. Nice and clear now..
Also did the bonnet cable mod and greased the bonnet catches.

Myself and Mrs G are spending the weekend at the Chickerell Steam and Vintage Show helping to raise the profile (and hopefully a few quid) for the Weymouth and Portland Veterans Hub..
We were joined this afternoon by the lads from the Southern Armour Group so snapped a few pics.
The detail on these scale replicas is amazing, on some even the crews movements are radio controled the bigger tanks cost up to 6k.

Well, it has now been almost a week since Trikey hooked up my ZT, Greenie, to his T4 and gave her the long awaited 160bhp engine map upgrade. All I can say is what a transformation. Better response through the gears, excellent acceleration, slightly poorer fuel consumption, but to be fair I have been driving it like I stole it, All in all a much improved car that is rapidly, in the true sense of the word, approaching membership of the moon club.
I can highly recommend this upgrade to anyone with either the 115bhp or 135bhp car, mine was a 135bhp prior to the upgrade and the difference is very obvious.

I fixed (replaced a top intercooler hose)
To solve the hiss the car pulls well but the intercooler o rings are NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- so ordered those next week ßhe should boost with all she's got

Well I had the intense displeasure of working on this shed ........LINK

A bodger's paradise, if this had been my own car I would have had absolutely no hesitation in driving it to the knackers yard and having it crushed into a cube.

It's not often I am lost for words when it comes to bodgery, but this car has taken the crown for dangerous modifications.

It has a K-Bus issue, and has been hacked about sufficiently that I don't particularly wish to clap eyes on it again.

To add insult to injury, the badly applied black underseal slathered over the sills to hide god knows what horrors, is all over the front of a pair of three week old jeans........marvellous.

What an absolute heap
