Warning - Hemlock Water Dropwart -
This stuff is growing everywhere by streams in particular- it is the most poisonous plant in the U.K. and dogs can be poisoned just by walking through it.
Two dogs near us and my sons dog (Dorset) have had to be put on drips after passing bl00dy mucus and not able to stand. Cost my son £hundreds - tho thankfully looks like the insurance will pay. It looks like Cow Parsley - the leaves especially look like normal parsley, but not so crinkly - if you walk your dog in wet areas do avoid this stuff As I cannot post links - I have emailed Phil the link and hopefully he will do the honours. For now, just googling it will get the info on this highly toxic plant. Last edited by Darcydog; 22nd June 2019 at 11:51.. Reason: Genuine use of “blood” |

We don't walk ours near water that much, mainly fields. Although we did get a warning not to dog in one particular area a couple of months ago due to some disease I can't remember the name of.
O/T why can't you post links? |

I haven't heard of any cases of that in this neck o the woods but we have however had numerous cases this year of Alabama rot sadly resulting in dogs having to be put down.

I mostly use iPhone as well and for pictures Tapatalk is really easy to post with, press the button that looks like a mountain range and then just select any pictures from your photos. I normally use the small option when loading the pictures. (Used this for images below). For links: open the page on safari and press web address. This will be what you see next where it highlights so press again. Down pops cut or copy just press copy and you have the link to paste on the forum. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
