Default A trip out on the broads

Lovely run out on the Bure and Thurne yesterday with my Dad on board our boat 'Lady Emma' .

Back before dark to moor up at the Acle Bridge Inn for dinner and overnight stay on board.

Rather chilly but beautiful start to the morning

I remember our boating days on the Broads in our Shetland Speedwell, waking up on a frosty morning with my socks frozen to the side windows! The 25hp motor didn't help with sedate Broads cruising!!! Even at tickover it was too quick! The mists over the marshes can be very haunting but also beautiful.

It is indeed a magical place.

Hopefully will be a bit warmer tomorrow when I'm back up there

Lovely shots there Jeff. Me and the missus are just back in from a days sailing but in sunnier climes.
We were out on our friends yacht on his first trip out since October last year.
Even in Malta is was bit chilly at times with a fresh breeze. I was surprised the missus felt so comfortable sitting at 9 knots under full sail.

Cheers Jim,

Were you sailing on the rivers or on the Med?
