Removal of Superglue from Paint-work
Hi
Does any-one have any suggestions on how to remove superglue from paint-work, without damaging the paintwork finish? The previous owner of my new car has at some point applied 2 small Rover badges below the side indicator lights on both front wings. Looking at them they seem to be applied by super-glue. I’m not keen on then as they are not original and not on straight, but I not-sure if I can cleanly removed then. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks for all suggestions. |

If you dont get any joy from the members on here, drop in your local A&E dept, its a problem they encounter quite often and may be able to tell you what they use.

No idea if this works or what paint damage it may do, but there are plenty of options on the bay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Loctite-Su...item2575227670

Acetone usually dissolves super glue, but im not sure of its effect on paint, I haven't tried it. I don't expect it will do any harm though, try in an inconspicuous place..

You can buy deactivator for super glue. try a plastics supply company. not used it on paint but it does,nt damage upvc or glass , try on a hidden piece first.

Thanks all.
I've tried most of the suggestions here (except going to A&E) with no success. This may sound crazy but my last attempt will be to use a razor blade and 'shave' it off. If that doesn't work I'm going to stick the badge back on, at least it will be straight!
