Default battery light

the last week or so my battery light sometimes stays on for about 20/30 seconds then goes off i have just done the obd test after it sitting on my drive for about a hour and it reads 11.9 v does this mean my battery is on its way out

Repeat the test with the engine running, alternator should be putting out 14.7v or there abouts
