always good to put smileys on such posts to make it clear it is in jest as those of a serious nature may misunderstand

Back again..

So I am still fighting with the same issue, glow plug shorted to ground.

Bought a working (tested) glow pin, and the problem remains.

So as advised, measured every resistor and all are ok, so if anyone can help with the information how the measurement is provided from the BTS141 to IC, would be happy camper again.

Datasheet explains how the short is detected within the BTS141, cutting the voltage down if a high current is measured, but still no idea how to approach this problem.

There are few diodes from I pin that might be the cause, but still even with a schematic in hand, I need some help..
Measured also all 4 diodes, they are all fine.. all in the close area of the BTS..

Getting new BTS141 tomorrow, so lets see if that fixes the issue.. No go, new in place, still in WTT the value is 0.0005 in test mode, never changes

Ok, more info.

The CPU pin 19 is the one that measures voltage provided to this pin, this is the value that indicated the resistance of the glow pin, so a little closer now..

I think there is some component now that can not provide the proper voltage to this pin and as so the PWM value is not in range. Tolerance must be very small.

If the WTT is in test mode and I run the test with glow plug, the resistance is at 0.005 without its 1.xx+ ohms, so it looks like a problem outside the ECU, and this is good news..

Fight continues..

Ok, problem solved.

There was a cold joint on few resistors, so the values measured ok from top, but the connection to the circuit was lost.

Ended up replacing several resistors + BTS141, now can enjoy a warm car again.

Thank you FrenchMike!!!

Hi.
Can you send me the rest of the schematic, please?
I have already 2 boards with same error: Glow plug / flame monitor interruption.
First is original from my car, second i bought from scrap. So now i have 2 defective controllers, none is working.
Already tested al components i could see. Nothin wrong...

Firstly, those of a serious nature have no business misunderstanding.

Secondly, how did you post this from a Turkish prison.

Re-solder the 10K resistor next to the CPU, better, replace it.
Mine had no contact to the circuit and after soldering it, dead, must had a crack in it... I used common THT resistors 1/4w, works like a charm.

PM me your email, I have it.

I resoldered those 10k and 4,7k resistors. Measured the value... they are what they pretend. But problem is the same.

PM sent to you.

Post a pic of your board, I´d like to see it, in detail of course.
