Default Dorchester red Conny with aubergine leather **SOLD**

Sadly for sale is my 2001 2.5 V6 Conny SE Japanese spec car with the Personal line Aubergine leather Interior.

It has had three owners: It was owned by a dealership as a demonstrator and then by an elderly gentleman in Cambridge who kept it garaged and only used it for 'out of town journeys' (he had a golf for town driving.)

As a result when i bought it two years ago it had just 18,000 on the clock. It currently has 37,000 and has been serviced throughout my ownership by Austin Garages. In that time it has had a major service and has recently had new brakes, disks and pads both visits cost in excess of £350 each.

The car had its cam belts done by the previous owner at a cost of over £600 and i have the receipt here. it comes with a history folder, two orginal keys, handbook leather wallet etc.

The car has the harmon kardon stereo with multichanger
Heated memory seats
Electric rear blind
Automatic headlight washers
Sun roof.
And of course the all important drivers side cup holder.

I have loved every minute of owning it and took it to the le mans classic last year. I'm only selling now as we have a second baby, and need a bigger car that my wife is happy driving, so will end up with a dreaded MPV.

The car will be sold with a full 12 months MOT

£1600 o.n.o

There were apparently a number of high specification cars which were sent by Rover to the Japanese market, However, before the cars actually arrived in Japan, the distributor went bust, so Rover shipped them back again, converted them to UK spec and sold them here instead.

A number were in Dorchester Red/Aubergine, and the give-away is that they have a flare clip mounted in the passenger footwell to hold a warning flare which is the Japanese equivalent of our warning triangle - except that is more like a Roman candle.

The flares were removed on safety grounds before the cars were shipped because the shipping companies didn't want them going off.

Would you like to drive round with the equivalent of a Roman Candle in the footwell?

This must be similar to what was fitted into the clip

Now Jezzer, why did I think that I would never need an aubergine steering wheel? You just never can tell can you, fortunately this car has a lovely wheel
