Thermostat update mpg
Well I reset my average mpg everyday, as try to use it to gauge engine health.
Prior doing the thermostat yesterday, my run to work and back I'd average 24mpg, mainly 30mph with a bit of 60 and 20mph (6 miles each way). Today, that figure went up to 38.8. I shall monitor it for the next month to see if its just a glitch, but looking like the thermostat mod on the diesels is a really good and simple fix, and will pay for itself in saved fuel. Now I'm wondering on what its mpg will be when I next go down to Oxford. |

What I did with my Rover 75 today?
- nothing, it's been fizzing down all day and the little bits I have ordered have not arrived yet anyway. |

MOT'd it, having been looking through the paperwork and realising it expired in mid-March but not before removing a small screw which I found in the rear tyre - luckily just in the surface and so no puncture.
All passed with no advisories so already for a trip to POL at the weekend. Just realised that I'd started to refurbish the rear ZT badge but hadn't finished it, so if I get a chance one evening a quick coat of silver paint and refit the cover piece. |

Spent 10 minutes in the boot whilst Mrs sworks drove trying to work out if the intermittent knock is inside the car or underneath.
