I have some coated disc’s to put on the rear as soon as the weather improves. Hope I don’t get the same trouble.

I would recommend rubbing off as much as you can from the surface. I only gave mine a light rub, I would certainly take off a lot more if I got coated disks in the future. I went with MTEC1305 On the front, Have a set of MTEC1306 for the rear which I haven't fitted yet.

Drain out a few gallons of water from the footwells and fit a modified handbrake compensator.

These are powder coated to protect the hub and vented areas from corrosion, however they have to coat the whole disk to enable this protection, It may be an unnecessary option?, I will leave that up to the more qualified to discuss. All I know is it looks likely to be the cause of ceasing the piston. https://www.mtecbrakes.com/special-e...c-coating.html

Removed the old exhaust, I say old, it’s probably about 15 months old. When removing the hangers from the rubber mounts the hangers detatched from the back box! Come to fit the Walker backbox and the sleeve would only fit over the front pipe by about an inch. Ended up heating the new exhaust to fit further onto the front section so what should of been a fifteen minute job was about an hour. The Walker backbox has the original strap rear mount so will hopefully last longer than the Klarius one that was removed.

New wiper blades and swapped my key fob to an original rover stamped key I found second hand on ebay-much better to have a button to unlock rather than a hole!

Picked Snotty up from the local garage I always use (mostly when it's cold and wet) who have fitted the 190 calipers, new AP discs and new AP pads I supplied. They checked everything, cleaned up the pistons and installed it all plus a brake fluid change. Only charged me 2 hours labour which I thought was reasonable instead of sitting in the cold all day Saturday doing it myself.....

First impressions are that there is loads more pedal feel and better initial bite. Taking him to work tomorrow so will know more after my 70 mile commute.

Need to paint the rear calipers red now to match as previous owner of the 190 had painted the ones that have been fitted - recommendations, Hammerite? or proper caliper paint?

Kinda curious how much the parts would cost to change to a set of these. I take it you'd need to replace the discs, calipers, shoes and brake lines?
