It is astonishing how quickly the ground has dried up after a pretty good soaking overnight and this morning.
I'm sitting here, enjoying a bottle of Thatchers Katy Cider, before heading off to do the washing up from our evening meal (a plateful of butchers mince, well fortified with veg. and celery, new poatoes - and three slices of bread to mop up the gravy afterwards - followed by some more fresh strawberries).
Tomorrrow we're off for a visit to the seaside - Lynton (at the top of the cliffs) and Lynmouth (at the bottom of the cliffs). Getting from the former to the latter doesn't half warm your brakes up
And don't forget to take a drive through the Valley of the Rocks to Woody Bay and out on to the moor

A bit tight Rod but that was the fun of it I suppose it must have been over 40 years since I last drove along it so whether I would think it fun now is debatable

I last drove it in a Citroen Picasso about 8 years ago - and gave both sides a darned good scratching

We've got a resident Bat that likes to feed around the rear of the house, no pics unfortunately as it is far too fast but short of releasing hundreds of moths is their anything that I can do to help it feed?

The main thing that detracted from its value was the fact it blew the turbo on Christmas Eve

Plant loadsa flowers - which should attract more insects - thus providing meals on the wing for the bats
