The spring loaded wire which hooks towards the rear of the seat frames adjusts the height of the seatbelt side pillar mount as the seat moves back and forward

I have painted the parking sensors for the rear bumper, and eventually fitted them in the new bumper. Now everything is ready for the MK2 conversion.

Had a leisurely day sorting out a leaking stat and bit of a service. In all honesty I could not decide how or why it had sprung a leak but all the o rings were quite flattened. Old stuff removed and after a clean up a new kit together with inlet gaskets. Xpart now source these from elsewhere and they are no where near as good quality. Finished off by topping up with Marinabrian's favourite, Unipart CoolBlue.

Then a good run up and down the A1 to get the oil piping hot for a oil and filter change.

Then as a treat she had a new air and pollen filter. Oh and a brand new washer bottle cap I found

I hope you refitted the securing bolt that holds the housing in position.

Collecting the 75 classic to take it for its MOT. I quite like the basic spec cars and one of the reasons this was added to the fleet. I don't get to use this as my Father in Law uses it so it's probably due a good check over. Registered in the last week MGR were trading and one of worst cases of HGF I'd seen in about 10 years. Almost two years later and still getting the cooling system flushed!

Started changing both lower front suspension arms and rear bushes as the front end of the car is about as tight as a bouncy castle. First bolt of the day (ball joint pinch bolt) snapped with no effort New pinch bolts on order.

Managed to drift the remainder of the bolt out with heat and a lot of percussive persuasion. Hopefully the rest of the job goes without hiccups.

In tank pump done late last night. Just changed the handbrake compensator over for a mini one. Would recommend it highly. Next is rear anti roll bar bushes, drop links and springs. Then front arms, powerflex anti roll bar bushes, springs, drop links, powerflex lower engine mount, top mounts and bottom arms.
