Today I rodded me Plenums! (never heard of them till joining this forum)

In previous attempts I'd forgotten about the three scuttle clips
Anyway I think I caught it in time. Water was up to the top of the hole, but no tide mark on the pollen filter. Which looks in good nick tbh.
Cleaned the inside of all windows with Auto Glym fast glass.
I have often thought that PLENUM was the wrong word for that space:
http://www.dictionary.com/browse/plenum
But I guess it`s easier than saying
"The metal oblong box without a lid"
Ken.

Default oil change

Nice and sunny so I replaced oil filter and oil, used a pump I heard about on here what a difference it made, no more mess removing sump plug.

I noticed a fair bit of smoke coming out the back and a lack of power. Had a look at the intercooler o-rings. They didn't exist. Nothing there at all. Amazing!

The thing now sports three viton rings, although I don't think I got the plastic bend all the way into the metal housing so it may blow up again.

Car is in the garage today for a front o/s wishbone.

Default T4

Took Mo to Trikey for a T4. Met MGC as well
Discovered a couple of things I thought were faults are actually how they're supposed to be, or not to be. Anyway it turns out my folding wing mirror problem is because the wing mirrors don't fold on my car. nothing to do with the console. And my wipers not working on intermittent. . . well 1st up is not an intermittent setting, it's how you turn the rain sensor on
By the way Trikey, it worked
As for the diagnostic, the only fault it could find was with the oxygen sensor. Something to do with the downflow. But the sensor was working perfectly well. Bit of a puzzler that one.
The engine management light stayed off for 107 miles out of a return journey of 108 miles.
I couldn't believe it. One mile away from home and it suddenly lit up again. Grrrrr.
Oh, and I have Trafficmaster fitted but no buttons. And it's never worked. Until today
I don't know what you did but just coming off the M18 it decided to display 'Trip distance 2'
It was showing about ten miles more than the main trip counter, but hey, it actually did something.
*Must add checking Earth points, fuses and as much wiring as I can get to, to the list of jobs.
Once again, thank you Trikey

Replaced the nearside dip beam bulb, just a week after I'd had to replace the offside one!
Also fitted the front drop link, one Rimmers supplied under guarantee after theirs I'd fitted 4000 miles ago broke where the top joint is welded to the rod (which then got caught in the spring as well as badly scrated the inside of the wheel). Supposed OEM quality they say, I say absolute rubbish - avoid, I'll get the DMGRS product next time.
Incidently, driving with out one link for months, no apparent difference in handling. Make me wonder why not just remove the roll bar altogether? (PM me for opinions as this post will quickly get lost as newer ones come in)
