Plaster board fixings, used them before good but they can still spin after a time, so make sure you have put some copper grease on the thread.

So this afternoon I carried out the Gold Resistor (bought from DMGRS) upgrade on my ZT-T.. No problem to drill and tap the heatsink for fitting. I used tightly fitting spade connectors crimped onto the cable with a decent length of heatshrink to seal it all up.

I was interested in how warm the resister was after just a couple of minutes of testing, not really hot but pretty warm to the touch.

Happy with the results, but have to say that trying to re-fit the front bumper single handed once it has gone dark is a bit of a challenge...

Interestingly (to me anyway) is that the fan error which had been showing in TOAF had cleared itself when I checked it all after testing the repair. Decent low speed fan speed without too much noise too.

New resistor in situe

Fitted new coils and HT leads. May just be the placebo effect but I think it sounds better now.

Noticed a few wisps of steam from under the front of the bonnet when it was up to temperature but could see where they were coming from. It's not been overheating or losing coolant so will just keep an eye on it.

Busy couple of hours on the ZT-T today through the rain. Original 190 throttle body refitted after a clean and lube up. Much quicker full throttle now 😁.

Appear to have had my money's worth out of this item.

Fitted a second hand one temporarily from my 75, a new one shall be ordered.

Also fitted some stainless steel brackets to hold one of the exhaust heat shields up off the exhaust.

Had noticed a couple of rust bubbles forming on the front passenger door pillar finisher so had sourced a new one. fitted it today, was quite surprised to see the rust wasnt just surface, the bottom of the finisher, the part that couldnt be seen unitl it was removed was rusted badly.

if you see even a wee bit of bubbling on one of these finishers, take it off and examine it, it could be a lot worse than it appears

I changed the steering wheel today in the diesel powered Tourer.
The original was in very bad condition, with lots of ring damage.

I was surprised to find it was fitted with a anti-vibration damper, which I thought were given the project drive treatment, quite early on.

I had a spare low mileage smokestone wheel that I took off the V6, when I put a wooden one in.

I think that looks better!

Had a T4 on mine to sort out the 'single entry point' How I hate having to press the key multiple times to open all the doors..... one click is sufficient.

Oh and also diagnosed that the fuel level sensor is out of its 'range' reading 541 ohms

The nominal values are as follows:

Empty = 4 ohms
Full = 380 ohms
