Done mine at long last!
To this Much better, took a while to get there though! Tfr, rinse, Tfr again, jet wash, snow foam, jet wash, wash, jet wash, clay (a stupid amount of contaminants! Forgot I had a replacement bumper that has obviously never been cleaned before). Wash again, dry, Polish with ultimate compound, buff and then supernatural hybrid paste for some protection! Much happier! |

Treated mine to a showroom valet from the local hand car wash today - £25 for machine Polish, wax, leather cleaned - looks the best since I've owned it

Cheers - wanted to refurb the wheels and after originally planning bright silver got caught up in trick paints. These were acid dipped and then painted with 5 coats of black, 2 coats of purple pearl sparkle, and finished with 5 coats of lacquer. Could have bought new wheels for what it ended up costing - paint was £130

I like those! Personal tastes, I imagine many won't but I definitely do! Especially considering pearl black has the purple hue in the sun light! |

Thanks - exactly my thoughts, in poor light they are quite dark but when the sun catches the pearl purple in the black paint the wheels then also come alive.
Young lad in a Clio was staring at them as I was pulling out the car wash, then he realised he knew me - good feeling when a teenager says you have good taste at nearly 40 |

Finally managed to get a couple of hours on the new Tourer yesterday, only a quick wash & tidy up, but makes life a lot easier when it comes to assessing & tidying the bodywork.
I've never seen a car with so much mould around the bodywork, it was everywhere. Eventually came indoors thinking I'd done a decent job (of highlighting all the scratches & dents that were previously hidden ) only to see the immaculate examples in this thread !! The cars on here look better than showroom, seems I have an awful lot more still to do... 2014-12-24 11.39.37.jpg
