I'm talking with Brooklands re visit on the 5th but they are not being very helpful at the moment.
They have an italian car event on the same day and have said that they are unable to reserve parking for us as a group and that we would have to park in their alternative car park (I have asked for more details) and they implied that we would be much happier visiting on the 4th March for their British Marques day.
It seems possible that we may have to look elsewhere for our Saturday trip but I'll keep trying with Brooklands for a little longer.
Cheers Ian

Interesting what they have said re group discounts. This page on their web site specifically mentions group discounts for the Auto Italia day on 5th May for groups of 15 or more .

Having said that, it can be quite busy at Brooklands when they have their "Premium" events, so you may be better off looking elsewhere. Personally, I'd prefer Brooklands as it's just down the road, and as a member I get reduced entry for events such as these, but not really relevant to be honest .

Hi folks
Well I contacted Brooklands again regarding our visit asking if we would be able to park together and still enter as a group
and today recieved the below email

Hi Ian thank you for your reply
The car park for Non Italian marques will be in the general car park by following yellow boards for parking, and it would be a case of looking for a space when you arrive. As this event is a “premium” day, the entry prices are slightly more than normal and we are unable to give group discount on the day.
I hope this information may help
Kind regards
Donna

After getting the above reply I feel that I would rather look elsewhere for our Saturday visit but it's not up to me alone so could you let me know if you want to go to Brooklands or are happy that I arrange something else.
Please let me know if you still want to go to Brooklands or if I should look elswhere.
I already have a short list of possible venues to approach.
Cheers Ian

Ian why don't you all go into Mercedes world, it is free, and you can park up all together on the left hand side next to the railway line. as you go past the main entrance.

Posted this on the other thread, but thought I'd add it here for completeness:

Thanks Cliff
I have copied and highlighted the part quoting group entry and have just emailed it to them.
I can't help but feel that they just don't want our Rovers and MGs among the Italian classics
Cheers Ian
