No Problem David, i do think it is a real nice piece of kit, I think you can have a max of 99 tracks per folder and of course no CD skipping.
Have fun chaps, we seem to have cracked this one Dave....

I have only one comment and that is that the USB stick seems to stay permanently powered up. I dont know what the power drain is, but the light on it looks bright. Do you unplug yours everytime you leave the car? You mentioned using the pen holder |

Nope, left it on since day one, Had a new battery fitted around three month ago though. My thinking is that the LED drain will be minimal. not been a problem since I fitted it and that was just before Cosford As per picture, found pen holder on the glove door very handy to keep it tidy but it just stays there all the time. Its no more drain than an led that flashes for an alarm I would imagine. ( i'll ring you if i need to borrow some jump leads )

If paid 8 euro for a transmitter which plugs in to the cigarette lighter and has an sd card socket and usb socket in which you can stick you mp3's.
It also has a wired connection for i-pod. And it transmits on for example 88.5 mhz, tune the radio to 88.5 and listen to your songs up to 2 gig. Last edited by Bam; 2nd July 2009 at 22:20.. |

Yes mono but for "wallpaper music" is it perfect.
(wallpaper music is what we call background music ) |

Stocktake, I've been loading files on to my USB stick today (8Gb) and some of the folders won't play. If I put fewer tracks on then they will play, but for some reason there are some files which appear to prevent the entire directory from playing. I have folloiwed GROM guidelines and have the correct bit rates, all MP3 files, and have less than 99 files in each folder. do you have any good tips for what to look for to find out what files are causing me this problem. |

I found out the problem. I had a mixture of tracks in the folders which didnt play. Some names started with a number, and some started with a letter. I renamed the ones with letters to start also with numbers and then the folder was recognised. The user guide hints at this, but doesnt make this point clear. I now have 6 folders each with about 80 tracks each working. |
