In all honesty, that's a load of.....B****

Wide field effect (or omni direction = light all over the place)..............as in non directional and potentially blinding

The whole point of lights is that people see you coming ie. they're in front of you, not next to you

Dipped beams work fine in order to achieve that

My HID's have been fine for the last 7 years.........and don't look like an afterthought. Just replaced them for another set at a cost of £35 which is cheaper then these Halfords bolt-ons.

If people could be bothered to switch their light on in low light conditions or bad weather we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

It's the automotive answer to ignorant drivers......

Another rant over........................................

Blinding is a word I would not have chosen, as they are not..

You are entitled to your opinion, as I am mine... and I do not know how you can give an honest opinion and make such a damning and sweeping statement when you have not seen my car in the flesh though??

Not blinding when you're IN the car

Actually, Audi switches the DLR off when indicating...............because you may miss the indicator otherwise

But yes, agree with the opinion bit

I'm the same mate the things we do to "OUR" cars to make them different, just seems to pass people by The amount of research & trial & error i've done to find a good LED bulb for the main beam, & still you get shot down Let them get on with it & enjoy your motor

I'm not sure where this blinding light idea comes from, they produce no light beam. If they are that Distracting then surely street lights should be removed from roads with dips as they can appear at eye level, oh and better watch out for those houses with their lamps in the windows that are beside the road ......

Yes indeed, after fitting them I may have actually gone to the front of the car to see the affect and checked the headlamp alignment, strangely I could still see afterwards....

That's the thing I don't understand. Our cars are already different.
What needs doing to make them more different

I get the part where people want to individualise their car but DLR...................

Herman, your car from the front, looks like every other ZT, ordinary members of the public don't know or care if it's a V8, 1.8 or whatever, the issue is between us members making our cars different. And are you still taking the medication
