There is nothing nicer than seeing an old car still being driven on our roads by an enthusiast in amongst the euroboxes.

Apparently, motor cycles don't have an emissions, or a specified noise test, but these will be in the proposals as well.

Have you noticed the reinvigorated environmental propaganda of late; they are obviously rattled by the disbelievers and feel they are losing the battle? I feel more taxes and restrictions coming on.

Obviously smog us creeping back up the agenda now. As usual laws have to be blanket and testable to be enforcable. I looked at the proposal documents for this legislation. It seems to be aimed at road worthiness and emissions. But at member states that don't have any real mot. I'm not worried.

Have a look at the country by country nor frequency. A lot of countries don't test two wheelers at all. If anything, this is bringing other countries up to uk standards. Ie older vehicles including two wheelers are tested every year. Sounds reasonable to me.

Looking at that, it seems it will not affect MoT dates and the gap between them for the UK.

I hope you are all correct, but I am very sceptical and don't trust the bureaucrats to be fair; just hope I am wrong!
