Got my Auto Tourer inside at work and changed the failed alternator,(power steering pump had leaked on it a few weeks ago)
Decided to take the front end off rather than try from underneath, glad I did as I found failed intercooler o rings, and also a split convoluted egr pipe, (I had smelled diesel fumes during the week) All good now, and saved a few quid compared with getting a garage to do the work, a good use of a horrible afternoon weatherwise! |

How'do folks
Got my new replacement boost solenoid, team heko wind deflectors and a used MG ZT Black perforated leather steering wheel in the post today i got the solenoid replaced (no more overboost...happy days) and the wind deflectors fitted.....steering wheel tomorrow.... [IMG][/IMG]. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] the rear deflector differs from the pictured item i ordered - i was expecting the straight one that tapers off at the rear, rather than curve down. I actually prefer the look of these - i had seen another brand, without the cut-out for the mirror on the fronts and curving down much further on the rear. and i didn't like those as i thought the rears spoiled the look of the car. i think the slight curve looks better on the 75 than the straight tapered ones now i have them Paul......... |

Yes, they changed the design earlier this year - I too prefer the curved-down look to the earlier straight-cut, (like mine) aswell.... I tried to just get the rear ones when I saw the change, but they wouldn't sell just the rears... NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-!

Stripped out the rear seats and boot lining
removed unnecessary wiring and tidied up the area (good hoover out and check for damp) (all good) fitted brand new FBH pump and fired up the never used FBH (yippee) Fitted black alcantara rear seats. Stood back and stared.... Decided it was gooooood....

Not today but yesterday cleaned out three diesel manifolds ready for swaps next year, and five EGR cleaned along with three boost sensors, first part of the many winter jobs to be carried out, these are now out of the way.
