Hi Brian,

Yes Technozen said he had one on a car he bought. Mine was one of the first batch of 10 off - without the built in sunstrip.

They work really well, and hopefully have my 45 TD conni saloon back on the road for next winter and put the 75 in the garage.

Today I have had a new clutch fitted by Andi Willi. Really pleased with the service he provides and how quickly it took him from start to finish. A really genuine, nice guy. Once again, thanks Andy

Default FBH fitting and a water weep

Once again my thanks to Craig (Spyder) for fitting my FBH whilst I watched

One issue I had tho - was a persistent water weep from the pipe seal under the inlet manifold. We thought it might weep a bit until it settled down but no such luck.

Anyway - I wanted to clean my EGR valve housing out as it looked pretty manky - so today it was hardly raining at all and so I cracked on and took the EGR valve off and whilst it soaked its crud away i took the coolant pipe of to have a look.

On a quick comparison with my old non-FBH pipe i could see the O-ring looked bad to say the least. When i got it out i saw just how bad

After gently removing the one from the original pipe and removing the manky one from the fitted pipe it was an easy job to refit the good O-ring.

Not sure if I can feel any difference with a cleaned EGR valve but very nice to find no leaks and the water level in the header tank exactly where it should be after a good run.

The pictures of the O-Rings tell the story and the (reasonably) clean EGR could well be a "feel good" thing.

Why did I not get a bi-pass housing before today?

Yeah maybe but with an AC system in tip top condition, the screen clears in well under a minute which is faster than most electric screens

I can't drive a Ford because my eyes keep focusing on the wire elements in the glass !!!

356 mile round trip to allow Jeff to work his magic fitting a Navall 3 with DAB.

Thanks for the great service Jeff, good to meet you! (I'll get the silicone out tomorrow )

Terrible journey down, sat in stationary traffic for over an hour, so had to "make progress" to make up some time, (which was fun ) but smooth as you like on the way back.

Just been to fill up, and I am stunned at the mpg on my way home, brim to brim calculation gives me 27mpg!! Just shows what can be done when you get a clear run on a motorway. Back to less than twenty I imagine next week, just going to and from work

Cool

Banana made ready for drive up North tomorrow. Fuelled up, oil and water checked, tyres pumped up, windscreen washer bottled topped up. Banana is reasonably clean. Will wait till we get to the final destination for a good clean.

OAT damage to the O ring I'd say

Gave Big Ron a quick pre-MOT check. He's gonna need a bit of work for any hope of a pass.
