Tell a lie, fitted the new resistor pack to the 45 so the heater fan blower works on all speeds

Today I got on with a few more jobs from my list - removed the heater matrix flushed, cleaned and re-flushed, then refitted, system refilled - tested lovely and toastie on both sides now
Replaced the Union flag badge which had suffered the fading.
Then a jolly good wash and polish for the old girl.

Big clean up. Soaked the cow **** on the sills and both front doors for an hour or so. It sticks like...well, it sticks.....and sets like cement.
Washed, rinsed, washed again and rinsed and left to dry.
Into the workshop for a vacuum out. Waxed the outside, cleaned the glass inside and out and replaced the rear wiper blade.

What I really need to do is cut all the paintwork back, clay and rewax. I dont think the previous owner used anything other than water and washing up liquid.

Still, it looks nice enough for now.

I tried to bleed the clutch today, what a mission it turned out to be....

I had a self bleeder and got myself ready to start, put my connection on the tyre to pressurise the system and all I got was all the break fluid pouring out the top of the slave cylinder bottle.

Got the seals sorted and now ready to get this done, pressure the system ok no leaks, go to the gear box and open the bleed screw, I get a few spurts of fluid and some bubbles and thats it., tried to push and pull the clutch pedal no joy, could not work it out at all, got my friend round to help and still no joy.

I pack everything away and go in do a few things needed doing inside and then come on here to see why I cannot do this simple task of bleeding the clutch.

WELL what a plonker I am why did I not remember the ****** CONDOM??????!!!!!!!

Got my step son to help me and in 10 minutes the clutch has been bled and is now working.

I must say I do not think the clutch has ever been bled the fluid was almost stringy and black and dirty as it gets.

Will have to redo this when I have more light and time and have more brake fluid.

Thanks to this forum I now have a working car, I also resprayed the battery tray as it was a mess as it was out.

Had some scabby lacquer on the front bumper so decided to clean it up a bit. It'll do until I get it sprayed properly after Christmas

Before, I know they're the wrong way around

Today, I finally got the chance to refit my undertray. I also removed the front mudflaps, and touched up the damage.

Then it was time give the old girl a well deserved wash. Still some love to give

Yesterday I executed an IPK upgrade by writing to it using Phil-T4`s freebie program plus a £4.50 cable enabling a digital MPH readout, also reset the service indicator and did an IPK cluster check.
This is the type of job I can do
Anyone got a T4 ...........kidding
Thanks Phil.
Ken.
