A helping hand..
Before I cook them for a meal, I always do a trial run with them the day before. I find that the cooking time can vary so much between good and horrible. I put some in a pan and boil them up, I take one out at 8 mins, 9 mins, 10 mins, whatever the the perfect time for that batch is. I also sprinkle a teaspoon of sugar into the water before I start to put them in, it makes the worst of them very tasty..Try it...

No - because fuel duty will then be applied to sprouts and they will be weighed in gallons which will just happen to cost more than £6/gallon.

I despise sprouts and I also am not keen on turkey (especially when my momma make it as she over does it and we have not been nasty enough to tell her that the turkey is so dry that you need a pint of water with each slice). Last year I cooked spachcock possions (I know I can't spell ) and I think it was duck the year before. I usually have a fry up and steak for Christmas and then what ever bird on boxing day! I like parsnips and roast potatoes! But sprouts give me indigestion

I must be in the minority, I love sprouts. The Christmas meal I enjoy most of all is the homemade turkey soup made with the carcass meat

I do enjoy sprouts, remember one xmas dinner a few years ago that everyone was giving me there sprouts loved it.
But after I was ticking time bomb, wasn't sure when I was going to off, but it was going to be soon and I'll take everyone out with it. |

No you're not alone - I too like sprouts and so does the whole family . Not sure it's been covered on here but some food scientists reckon it's a genetic thing. You either taste bitterness or like me you don't and hence find them enjoyable. Can't wait until they start appearing on the shelves
