As Blackrose has mentioned, its all very easy to stubble across these deals, especially the China wholesale sites. I've not used LITB before until now, I don't understand how I have missed such a giant in this mad retail world that we all live in, its a shoppers paradise.

I have been so busy these past few weeks, I've not had time to go deal hunting. Normally I get to hear first hand in some situations, where other times its a case of doing some homework and searching the internet shopping sites, its a busman's holiday for me.

As I'm hoping to install my unit tomorrow, I really need some guidance in relation to the SWCs.

My current head unit is a Sony, and the SWCs plug into it via a lead terminating in a 3.5mm stereo jack plug. Now, I've been following this thread in relation to this, but am still not sure what connects where.

As it's a stereo plug, I'd suppose that there would be two signal wires inside, shielded by an earth screen, i.e., 3 wires in total. Supposing that the earth goes to the earth connection, where do the remaining two go?

Apologies if I'm being a bit slow, but you'll all understand that I don't wan't to get this wrong and fry my headunit

Well, I was all set to install the unit plus reverse camera, etc, but on removing the existing unit, instead of the BMW plug I expected to find, I found this:

(ignore the black thing in the middle of the loom, it's the 5v supply to my dash cam)

So I can't use my loom which I'd previously made up:

Any suggestions?

Remove the climate control panel and cupholders, BMW connector should be down there

Even if the wiring from the plugs is going up into the top of the dash?

Yes, the BMW 'ISO' plug should be further down. You may even have to remove the ashtray/cupholder assy to find it. The colours should match your prepared harness.

Excellent result, I thought that BlackFriday sales would bring better price, but knowing my luck would miss it. I took the £48 one and im pleased at that. Mine said 3-4 days but I had Jcex tracking number. Its been about 5 working days and it is currently in London customs came by plane from Hong Kong. Anyone know if I can get freeview TV on this and if so point me in the direction of a digi box.
