The pipework colour is right Einar, however every genuine LUK slave I've seen has the LUK branding on the pipework along with the part number.......
The slave in these pictures is a year old however, and a lot can happen in that sort of time in parts supply. I would be a little worried about the packaging however, as the genuine item comes in a cardboard box bearing the LUK logo Brian |

This makes me wonders as Rimmers has sold it as a Genuine MGR item. Maybe I should send them an email and ask. Anyway, everything is now put in place and it is up to "Murphy" if this is going to last or not. Any more big failures on this car now, then it is the scrapper next |

I sent Rimmers an email, asking for the make of this cylinder. Here is the answer I got:
"Good afternoon We source the part from a company called XPart who have been supplying the genuine MG Rover branded parts since before the car company went out of business but we do not have any information as to actually makes the part. All our remaining stock of the cylinder is in MG Rover branded boxes and inside the box the part is just in a plain bag. I would presume we have taken the part out of the actual box before sending to save space inside the parcel." |
